What does John believe in?

What does John believe in?

1) Two bins cost too much

John does not support the two bin system as proposed by Council. An extra bin means higher costs for families and pensioners already doing it tough. An extra bin could add as much as $107 to your rates bill. John believes there is too much waste in the waste department and monetary savings must be found.

John advocates the current system where residents can pay for an extra bin and those who don't want one can opt to recycle using their current single split-bin.

2) Revitalise Family-Friendly Parks

For the last 12 years our parks and town beautification programs have been neglected.

Parks that John will fight to have upgraded include;
Meakin Park, Kookaburra Park, Clare Park and Augustus Park.

3) Drainage

While door knocking John has been horrified to hear about drainage issues that haven't been fixed after 30 years of Logan's existence. This type of neglect worries John and he has an action plan to put and end to people's houses being flooded.

4) Anti-Hooning Campaign

John established Logan's Anti-Hooning Association in 2008 and has been fighting to put an end to this menace. John believes Logan City should follow through on its promise to establish an anti-hooning hotline and install more safety cameras in our city. Families have the right to enjoy peace in their own homes. John says, "Lets tackle hooning together".

5) No More Pokies

John will never support more pokies in Logan and believes we need to control gaming lounges through our town plan local-laws. He recently led the charge against council's push to lift the number of pokies in Logan. John is passionate about protecting battlers in our city.
